COURSE DESCRIPTION: The course teaches police administrators, supervisors, investigators, and training officers how to create a use of force policy and conduct force specific internal investigations. Attendees will gain a basic understanding of police use of force law, how to create a use of force policy consitent with current law train for use of force incidents to mitigate liabilty, and how to properly investigate police use of force based upon the type of force used.
Lunch, drinks, and snacks will be provided for each attendee for no additional charge.
